In July 2004, we signed an agreement to use Cingular Wireless' (formerly AT&T Wireless) digital wireless wide area network for transport of data, including credit card transactions and inventory management data. AT&T wireless is a provider of advanced wireless voice and data services for consumers and businesses, operating the largest digital wireless network in North America and the fastest nationwide wireless data network in the United States.
In 2004 Black Board became reseller of our eSuds and ePort programs to strengthen their value proposition of their Blackboard Transaction System™. This system is a reliable and sophisticated application for powering commerce and access transactions. The Blackboard Transaction System securely guides virtually every transaction on campus. Hundreds of campuses rely on Blackboard's debit account systems to deliver convenient, secure and efficient campus auxiliary services to students, faculty and staff.
Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) is a leading credit card issuer and electronic payment services company with one of the most recognized brands in U.S. financial services. The Company operates the Discover Card, America's cash rewards pioneer. Since its inception in 1986, the company has become one of the largest card issuers in the U.S. Its payments businesses consist of the Discover Network, with millions of merchant and cash access locations, and PULSE, one of the nation's leading ATM/debit networks. Since June of 2006 MasterCard has purchased in excess of 17,000 ePort credit and debit systems to be distributed into the vending industry. MasterCard selected USAT's NFC capable system to help grow its' network of MasterCard PayPass "touch points." MasterCard PayPass is ideal for traditional cash-heavy environments where speed is essential, and has led the way in bringing contactless technology to consumer categories such as quick serve restaurants and vending machines.
